Are you an artist in Portsmouth? Do you live within a one-hour journey time of the gallery?

If so, aspex are calling for postcards or postcard-size 2D artworks (15cm x 10.5cm) from you that respond to the themes of Progress and Freedom. Whatever, whoever, wherever or whenever you might think of when you consider these themes.

Clive Caswell, Exhibitions Manager at aspex commented: “Following the success of last year’s local submission exhibition ‘Say What You See’, this is a great opportunity for us to exhibit a wide range of work from the array of artistic talent in the area.”

A selection of work received will be displayed in the gallery in the ‘corridor of uncertainty’ until the 7 July and will be published online on aspex’s blog, via Twitter and Facebook.

Images can be sent via email as jpegs but not all will be printed and displayed. Size does matter and and oversize jpegs will be resized before printing. More information is available online at aspex.
