ARTIST TALK  – Jonathan Wright
Friday 22 May, 6-7pm, cost: Free.
Artist Jonathan Wright will talk about his installation at Curious Projects, ‘Tidemark’, in the context of his practice, and about the challenges of making work site-specifically.
Jonathan Wright was one of the lead commissioned artists at the 2014 Folkestone Triennial. His constructed works embody the mechanics of a modern society:  ”We are surrounded by structures whose functions are mysterious, and these structures become invisible in their ubiquity. When encouraged to look at them afresh, to reverse our perspective, we realise we can see more and see better”

TOWARDS (Prototypes & Preliminaries)
An end-of-residency exhibition by Alice Lunt.
This show is the culmination of a three month residency,  researching and developing two new projects, “Angel’s Nightie” and “small comfort”. The residency was used as a time for both thinking and making and the resulting ‘Prototypes & Preliminaries’ will be presented as two site-specific Installations within the Project Space. (This exhibition continues Mon 25, Fri 29, Sat 30 and Sun 31, 10am-4pm).
