Housing one of the most important collections of British 20th century art in the UK, including work by Henry Moore, John Piper, Ceri Richards and Graham Sutherland, Pallant House also runs exhibitions and events that complement the collection.

The Grade 1 listed Queen Anne building Pallant House became a gallery after 1977 when Walter Hussey, Dean of Chichester Cathedral, left his personal art collection to the city. The gallery’s new modern wing was opened in 2006.
